Prom Prep: Exercising at Home

Time to shape up for the bid event! Have you been eating healthy and drinking lots of water? The good news is you don’t need an expensive gym membership to look the part! Use these five simple exercises that you can do a few minutes a day at home to buff up for the big night!

1. Walking
Just as simple as it sounds, take the dog out or just chat it up on your cell phone, doing a few laps a day around the block works wonders! Even if the weather won’t cooperate you can walk around your home, climb up and down your stairs a few times. This will help burn a few extra calories and tone your legs at the same time!

2. Jumping Jacks
You might look goofy doing them, but you’ll look anything but goofy when you make your prom entrance. While bringing back memories of elementary school, you’ll be getting in a cardio workout!

3. Crunches
Turn that flab into abs! Don’t worry about getting all the way up at first, your abdominal muscles will eat up this exercise!

4. Pushups
Feel free to do them in “girl” style, or with your knees on the ground. You don’t have to go crazy, but a few reps regularly will tone your arms and work your chest muscles!

5. Squats
Even if you cheat and use a chair to sit up and stand repeatedly, you’ll be toning your butt and legs! Be sure your backside is at its best!

I think that lunges really work for the booty. I did leg lifts when I wore a 2 piece dress for prom to work my lower abs and they looked great. Nice and toned.

  3. I searched Google for exercising and I found your blog :-) I like your blog, well done!

great butt and thigh workout: get down on your hands and knees and lift your right leg up like your peeing on a hydrant… do 10 on that side 10 on left and count your way down from there, 9right 9 left etc… you will feel it works great.
